Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

The editing on Fractured is awesome! Love that vid!
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Yeah, he did good. I hadn't seen that video until earlier when I was looking for Cobb PI and other spin-offs.

I really don't think a spin-off would happen either. One of an adult River who's mostly gotten it under control (picture The Cape's "Dice") going out on adventures--with the occasional Firefly cast member popping in could be interesting.  Alternatively, a Young Indiana Book could be fun too.

The 'verse is just so big and rich in its possibilities.

Coincidentally, someone at a Massively Multiplayer Online blog that I read wrote today about some Firely MMO gameplay theory:

I think the Firefly 'Verse would make for a great MMORPG. In my minds eye, I would like it to have elements of Eve Online and Fallout 3.

The spaced-based trading/mining/salvaging aspect of Eve except being able to leave your ship and explore a space station or planet in an sandboxed world like FO3. You would be able to trade with/fight with other players and NPC's. You could play the game as a trader/merchant, miner, salvager, pirate, bounty hunter, Alliance and maybe even a BlueSun--or other corporate/gov--agent. You could get quests and mission from NPC's. Space would be a very dangerous place, like EveOL. The closer you were to bigger Alliance controlled planets, the safer it would be. But when you venture out into the black, you better not trust anyone and keep your eyes open, because NPC Reavers and pirates can spawn and put a hurtin' on you (along with player pirates). If you are close to Alliance controlled space then you may get help from them.

Why it won't happen:

While I agree that it will never happen, I think it will be interesting to see how many 'likes' the page gets.

FOX knows there is enough interest to hang on to it and not sell it for any amount of money, but not enough demand to do anything with it. I mean, if Nathan (or anyone else) came to them with a hundred billion dollars, they would sell it. Probably. The thing is, every how much anyone is willing to pay for, it says to FOX that has to be worth more than that. Kind of like haggling, only in reverse.
"Is this how time normally passes? Really slowly, in the right order?"

Eric

I really do doubt it'll happen--just too many variables.
There's a slim chance that FOX could see enough interest in Firefly to revive it or do something in the 'verse.  But, it's slim.

So, it looks like I don't have to kick Tink and Digby's asses... That's because they Liked http://www.facebook.com/HelpNathanBuyFF already. If you haven't, Do It! Or Else!  :soapbox:  ;)
