Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Clash of Kings is better than Game .
And Storm of Swords is even more better .

"...the night is dark and full of terrors."

At least we got to HEAR something in the teaser trailer.

Nope, no good trailers until 2012 I'm afraid.

End the hyphens...we are all human beings who live in America.

A little more than an imp's height compared to a man grown's way though the second book and I am thinking it is setting up really well for Mr. Dinklage to get a second Emmy nom and possibly little miss Maisie Williams as if what they film is as meaty as what is in the book.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Halfway through vol. II here, as well. In this book, Tyrion seems a little too good as King's Hand(as a character), but we'll see how it plays. If nothing else, his craftiness is certainly amazing, and it could all be attributed to years of study and finally finding his niche. Like Jaimie, I too sometimes wonder where his loyalties lie.

Arya's storyline is a good one. I'm curious where that'll end.

GRR Martin is like that teacher who has to be extra hard on a student because it's his kid, only here his 'kids' would be those who are considered the heroes in his books. It would seem so far, though, Tyrion is the can-do-no-wrong teacher's pet.

"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge."

Tyrion is obviously very book smart and street smart. I would say he is smarter, in some ways, than the maesters. Tyrion seems to be a knowledge sponge soaking up lessons from everything he sees, reads and does, whereas the maesters are well schooled in the specific topics that their job requires. Also people tend to misunderestimate him, as a certain president would say, due to his looks and stature and that lets him keep a step ahead of them.

I love Arya's story line. I almost want to just read it and then go back and read the rest of the book.

I can see that.
I can also see Shae being his Achilles heel.
I would not be surprised.
