Season 10: Big Mouth, J.Lo and the DAWG

The only male Idol contestant to have some decent success is Chris Daughtry, and rightly so ~ Daughtry's songs were very commercial and perfect for Top 40, even Adult Contemporary radio. (runners up: Constantine, Clay, Ruben, Adam) The males may have dominated the competition, but the females have truly garnered more exposure and success (Kelly, Carrie, Jennifer H., Jordin, even Fantasia on the R&B). Maybe it is hard to make it in the music business even with a decent contract.

Scotty will do even better than Josh Gracin, Bucky Covington and Danny Gokey. He'll probably give Carrie a ride for her money!

  Cook needs better song writers. He's got the voice.  Scotty is set no doubt about it. Country music hasn't
had a deep voiced country singer that young in a looooong time and he's good. Casey is wearing thin for me
but Durbin is really good too.

  How did Randy EVER become a judge? That *dude* crap is just run into the ground and I get embarrassed
for his stupidity. One reason why I could never watch this show. His comments drive me nuts.

  She is soooo incredibly good. When she sang "The House of the Rising Sun" last week I couldn't quit playing
it.  I was twixt and tween between Durbin and Scotty but Haley's voice is just in a whole other realm. Scotty
has it made with country. He will be a star no matter win or lose and Durbin has a personal story that gets
to your heart but Haley should win.

I keep listening to last nights performance. Probably over ten times today. I agree that her voice is probably the best left and, sadly, it will come down to Scotty or James for the final. I think Scotty is good, but I don't think he should get the title. Right now I think Haley is my favorite, but I wouldn't be sad if James won it all. Poor Lauren, she has confidence issues and it's sad. If she could get over them, I am sure she could belt out a performance on par with Haley's. Also, while I am not a Gaga fan, she had Lauren pegged.

  I just listen to the performances on YouTube so I don't know what Gaga said.  I suspect because of the
female teen vote one of the guys will get it but Haley has to have one of the most amazing voices that
have been on there in a long time. Interesting that she tried out last year and didn't make it. With the
lack of talent last year she might have been able to walk away with it however we saw the teen girls
once again last year blow the finale.

  James is wonderful sometimes but not all of the time. He chooses bad songs trying to be two different
performers.  Haley seems to know who she is and what her voice can do.  Lauren needs to mature.
