Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

James is my pick to win the show. He not only sings/performs well, but he seems to be soaking up all the knowledge he can from all the talented folks made available to him and the other contestants. He seems to be the only one who knows who he wants to be after the show and not only who he wants to be, but how he wants to do it. And even if he doesn't win the show, he will win the show, because he will be the most successful person from the season IMO.

ETA: a shorter version is that he has "It" and gets "It".
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Casey is awkward, but he has these brief moments of uniqueness/awesomeness when he preforms that keep me intrigued.

[spoiler]So Stefano is out. No big surprise. I was rooting for it to be Jacob, but I think that will be next week, so no big deal.

So....
Quoteacob Lusk was with him in the bottom two. He had suffered a momentary technical glitch at the start of his performance of "Dance with My Father."

That's not why is was in the bottom two.

BTW Stefano went to the same HS as my younger brothers and his parents live a couple of miles from mine... and me for that matter.

I can't say I was all that excited about David Cook's new song ~ but I still like him as a singer.

I think this is still my favorite of his performances, even though there are so many (Hello, Billie Jean, Always Be My Baby).

I wasn't wild about the new song either. He does better with other songs already written that have
become hits. He puts his own spin on them and makes them his own.

The first single from his self-titled album, "Light On," had to grow on me, but I loved "Come Back to Me" straight away. I listened to his CD Analog Heart on the Internet, and while it was sold briefly on Amazon, I'd have to check for it now, but I don't think it's available anywhere. I fell in love with one of the songs ("Searchlights") and I downloaded a copy, but didn't download any others (just couldn't do that to him).

His voice on the recording of the new song is very good though. He just sounded a little off at first the other night on Idol.

I've been listening to some of his old performances on Idol and they were so good. I can't believe he
seems to have faded. A voice like that should be out there. I bet Scotty McCreery will go farther then
David. Country western singers seem to take care of their own and help to bring them out.
