Well, five FGs, one TD w/ missed point after.

LSU held to 92 yards of total offense. Five first downs. LSU only crossed the 50 once, and then not until the fourth quarter. First shutout in BCS history.

Also, Bama had one five yard penalty. Saban went apeshit when it happened.

I only saw bits and pieces - it was 15-0 when I went to bed .

Still - RESULT !

BTW, Nick Saban mentioned Red Tails in his post-game press conference. He said there was a line in the movie --- 'from the last plane to the last bullet to the last minute to the last man, we fight, we fight, we fight'. He said that's what the team took away from the movie and into the game.

Like I said on FB, maybe that helped inspire them.

Luca$ steals a current team chant-style and drops it into a WWII film .
In a pilots' huddle no less .

It's stuff like this that makes me pause over this movie .
The aerial scenes look awesome but I dread the ensuing historical accuracies .

  Yeah , stick in the arse ? I has it when it comes to this stuff - especially when I see Luca$ on Jon Stewart pronouncing that "No one knows this story" ( I do and have since I was a kid ) and giving the impression that this will be some sort history lesson for today's movie goers .

Heads up - the 332nd Fighter Group did loose bombers under their escort ( they did however , still have the best record at protecting their wards ) not a single pilot became an Ace ( several had four kills )  they did shoot down some Me-262s that weren't taking off/landing which all sorts of amazing .
