So the Syrian ambassador turned out to be the good guy and the bad guys were not radical Muslims but members of the American military in the mold of Tim McVeigh. I bet Tardo must be typing with one hand over this episode.
Dude! That image you placed in my mind just ruined my week.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.
The comparisons didn't phase me while I was watching the episode. I don't think Beckett and crew agreed with what the angry military guys were doing, and we would hope that the military does not want to act in that way. But I think their anger is there. Castle was trying to bring up the point that the support for the war really waned and that we are no longer talking about it. The fact remains that to take your anger and create a violent attack that could kill civilians and affect people for years to come just goes against the military code. In places the dialogue was so predictable (when Adrian Pasdar's character had a gun aimed at the suspect and the he just said, "I'm willing to die for my country," I just knew "Are you?" was the next thing he was going to say.) The aspect of Pasdar's character's wife being killed in the second tower brought his whole vibe into focus. It was odd for Pasdar to have that kind of role because of his wife Natalie Maines, but I can't remember if they were truthers or not. She was just pissed about Bush bringing Texas a bad name. In retrospect, I see the juxtaposition, but I don't think it was as overt as other shows. I did like the shout-out Beckett made: "How many of these incidents did we NOT know about?"

What I loved most is Pasdar's character's use of "Let's roll." I was glad I was able to appreciate that and not focus on his wife's political views. It's hard though!
Castle Exclusive: A Nod to the Late Stephen J. Cannell Is In the Cards

10 March 2011 3:08 PM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

Castle — and Castle — soon will pay regard to Stephen J. Cannell, the late novelist, prolific TV producer and sometime guest star, TVLine has learned.

In the April 11th episode of the ABC series, Castle and his poker pals — Michael Connelly, in his third appearance, and first-timer Dennis Lehane (Gone, Baby, Gone) — will make reference to Cannell's passing as they gather for a night of cards.

The man who brought us such series as The A-Team, 21 Jump Street and Wiseguy, Cannell died from complications associated with melanoma in September 2010, at age 69. He made his third and what would be final cameo on Castle last May. »

Happy they are doing this.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Anyone watching? Just wondering since I see no comments.

I liked the last episode in LA. I wish that Rick Castle would stop wearing those sports coats all the time. Nathan looks better without them IMO.

TinkTanker

Was that the season finale? We just now finished watching it.

No, I think there are at least two more.

<raises arms frantically> I have!! Writer-Man needs a jacket when he's out, but Nathan looks good in long sleeved button down shirts though.

I was on the phone with my parents last week and reminded them Castle was new. Dad mentioned Kate was going to be in a bikini.  Dad! I just commented, well, she can pull it off, she is a little on the skinny side, but that's the way they make 'em now.

The Pizza Wars and swimming episodes were good. I enjoyed the nod to Cannell with the empty chair. I'm glad Kate and Rick haven't done anything yet, especially on the L.A. trip. I liked that you got to see that she is definitely interested.

That really wasn't a bikini so much as it was some sort of swimwear. Did nada for me. She needs to eat a sammich.
