Director David Solomon is in the [Doll]House

dollhouse tv showLooking again at The Hollywood Reporter's coverage of pilot season '08 today I noticed that David Solomon has been added to the listing for Dollhouse. Solomon served as producer on Buffy for all seven seasons, working his way from co-producer to co-executive producer by the show's end. Alongside folks like James A. Contner and Nick Marck, Solomon was one of Buffy's go-to directors, helming 19 episodes in all ('What's My Line: Part 1', 'Hell's Bells', 'The Prom', 'Buffy vs. Dracula', etc). Post-Buffy he has directed shows like Tru Calling, October Road, Chuck, Private Practice, and Las Vegas.

Solomon did a one-episode stint on Firefly, directing the brilliant 'Out of Gas'—hands down my favorite 42 minutes of TV ever produced. In the DVD commentary, writer Tim Minear credits him with the success of the episode's three timeline structure, a big part of the overall success of the episode. I can't wait to see these two collaborate again.

THR's site doesn't say how involved Solomon will be with Dollhouse, only that he's listed as a director.
