Assorted Musings:

Next week is set after the events of Thor: The Dark World. Y'all best see the movie before then.

I forgot to mention that apparently there's a big mystery with Skye's parents and we learned that a SHIELD agent dropped her off at an orphanage when she was a baby, but also whatever the deal is Coulson is still keeping it a secret even after the "let's share information with friends" moral of the episode. I failed to mention this because I don't care.

Seriously, the show has done nothing to make me care about Skye's mystery at all. Oh, she was dropped off by a SHIELD agent who was murdered? Do I know the agent? Do I know how she died or who killed her? No? Then I don't care. The only person interested in this mystery is Skye, and Skye still isn't likable enough for the audience to give a gao se about her back-story.

Seriously, Skye is becoming the Jar-Jar Binks of this show. She's a hacker who has betrayed the team yet still stays on the team. WTF kind of organization is SHIELD? I know Joss is all about the grrrrrrrrrlllllllll power but c'mon.

I'd be pissed if someone threw this away

It's nice here with a view of the trees
Eating with a spoon?
They don't give you knives?
'Spect you watch those trees
Blowing in the breeze
We want to see you lead a normal life

Not sure what episode that references, but now I'm hungry as heck.

It's in the most recent episode. Ward threw away Fitz's sandwich because the dogs could
track them.

The show is finally growing on me slowly. They are fleshing out the  characters better and
giving them more personality. I'm not wild about the constant secrets that are set up to keep
you watching and while Skye is not my favorite character she serves a purpose by being the
one person to go off the grid and be the bad guy to save the day as in the most recent episode.
Everyone else doesn't want to buck authority but she will if necessary and that will be her role
on the show.

I enjoyed it ( surprise ! )
Liked how Fitz said that Coulson had asked him to watch over Ward .

;)

That said - the Bus needs a crew

:deadhorse:

I loved the focus on Fitz and he fact that he really had Ward's back.

My favorite scene was Skye and Simmons when she says, "I like to follow the rules. It makes me feel nice." It was awesome!

I really enjoyed this ep!

The ratings after the break were just as bad as they were before. Given that they had promoted this heavily as the big payoff about Coulson and Tahiti (it's a magical place), not good news. A 2.1 rating tied the previous series low.

The fat lady ain't singing quite yet, but she is warming up.

Returned last night with a disastrous 1.7 rating, 5.1 million viewers, less than half its original audience.

And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Oddly it's grown on me. The characters are finally getting fleshed out and the stories are getting more
interesting. Too bad it may be too little too late.
