Shocker: Firefly and Prometheus/Alien exist in same universe

Blastr has made a cool discovery of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation logo showing up in the user interface of the big gun Mal shoots in the battle for Serenity Valley.

Loose connection, and probably a shout-out to Whedon's hand in Alien: Ressurection, but fun none-the-less.

I could see a timeline where Alien happens, then Firefly/Serenity, then Battlestar Galactica (we'll ignore Joss' comments about no weird aliens in Firefly universe).

Me neither - I'll say it can still work though .
When Joss says "No aliens" that could just mean intelligent aliens .
No reason there can't be exotic flora/fauna on various planets/moons .
