Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

George R.R. Martin discusses season two:

Which episode of Game of Thrones are you writing next season?
The Battle of the Blackwater, God help me. David and Dan must hate me.

That's the one where you have to be most conscious of budgetary decisions.
It's very tough because we don't have the budget to do the battle in the book. We just don't.

Well, they have to be able to show the ships and what happens to them, right?
I hope so. We'll see. I'm writing it. I'm cutting certain things. We'll see once I turn it in if we can do it.

And speaking of GoT, Showtime's Camelot will not be back for a second season. Like Digby often said, it kind of got lost in the shuffle once GoT came along.

I saw about 2 minutes...ok maybe it was 30 seconds and felt like 2 minutes then I changed the channel.

It looked like a guy show. Should I give it a try or do you think its probably not my cup of tea.

Being on HBO, it IS TV-MA. But it's weird, I don't find it overkill. I like the fact that it's not f-this and f-that every sentence. (can't believe I just typed that! I've started re-watching Six Feet Under and it's like, jeez, I forgot they cussed so much. It's like watching True Blood in a way...it gets annoying. But it IS Alan Ball, what are you gonna do?)

I watched the first episode of Camelot and I just didn't care for it. It felt like a soap opera, like True Blood. We had just seen Excalibur and watched 2 seasons of Merlin so maybe I was not in the mood for another retelling. Especially when I enjoyed GoT so much and I'd rather see season 3 of Merlin than watch Camelot.

We watched the first three or so episodes and kind of lost interest and never picked them up any longer.

I read some stuff on Fark that dealt with this problem .
Seemed more than doable to me .

Gotta have faith I guess .

I have the first half dozen Camelot eps .
I'll finish the series but ain't stressing over it .

( Arthur could have been better cast imo )

Ahhhhhh. The beach, the sun, and Game of Thrones on Kindle. Alan Tudyk would love this. If he could read.
