Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Three Alabama football players charged with 2nd-degree robbery; another charged

Three Alabama football players were arrested Monday for second-degree robbery while another was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.

Freshman linebacker Tyler Hayes, 18, freshman safety Eddie Williams, 20, redshirt freshman D.J. Pettway, 20, were each charged with two counts of second-degree robbery while redshirt freshman H-back Brent Calloway, 20, was charged with one count of fraudulent use of a credit card.

Williams, who was also charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, was arrested Sunday on a separate gun charge.

According to arrest warrants, Pettway, Williams and Hayes attacked and robbed two UA students, Samuel Jurgens and Caleb Paul.

The trio is accused of physically attacking Jurgens with "punches to the head and face" and kicks to the ribs and back and stealing his backpack, which contained an Apple MacBook Pro. Jurgens was knocked unconscious and was treated for several cuts, a mild concussion and severe swelling.

Both Hayes and Williams confessed to committing the crime, according to the arrest warrant.

In a separate incident, Williams physically attacked Paul with "punches to the head and face" while Hayes and Pettway waited in a car "with knowledge of Williams' intent." Williams came away with Paul's wallet, which contained cash, a UA student action card and various credit and debit cards.

Williams later used Paul's UA card and debit card to purchase snacks from a vending machine on the first floor of Bryant Hall.

With knowledge that it was stolen, Calloway, who was not involved in the robberies, admitted to using Paul's UA card for numerous purchases.

Williams, a former five-star recruit from Panama City, Fla., did not play in 2012.

Hayes, a Thomasville native, played in 13 games as a reserve and had 14 tackles.
Pettway (Pensacola, Fla.) redshirted the 2011 season before playing a prominent role as a pass-rushing defensive end in 2012. He had four tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks this past season.

This is Calloway's second arrest since he signed with Alabama in 2011. The former Russellville standout was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana in Oct. 2011. After redshirting his first season at Alabama, Calloway played primarily on special teams in 2012.

Dumbasses all. Kick them off the team and make room for somebody who wants to play.

Idiots. You were getting a free college education. You were given an opportunity to better yourself and your future, an opportunity many would love to have. Idiots.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Saban constantly refers to his football philosophy as 'the process' (what you have to do day in and day, working hard to achieve your goal, conditioning, practice, learning the plays, everything). Saban is also criticized for oversigning recruits, bringing more on board than the scholarship limits allow. Some how, some way, the number always end up just right. Whether a player transfers, is given a medical redshirt, doesn't qualify academically, whatever. Alabama's rivals derisively refer to this as 'getting processed', as in 'getting processed off the team' to made the limits.

Look for at least two of these assclowns to get processed. All four should be gone, but at least two will be gone.

Also, this is why you do oversign. Because even though this is by far the most egregious example of players breaking the law/team infractions, it does happen.

All four have been 'indefinitely suspended'. To the best of anyone's recollection, no player has ever returned from 'indefinite suspension' under Nick Saban.

Saban was praised on Twitter for creating 'orangeshirting'.

It's nice here with a view of the trees
Eating with a spoon?
They don't give you knives?
'Spect you watch those trees
Blowing in the breeze
We want to see you lead a normal life

Spooky

That's crazy right there. It's like the SEC is the NFL's minor leagues.

Looking forward to seeing how Mr. Williams fits into Seattle's talent loaded defensive line.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Just checked and my Washington Huskies had 3 players total drafted in 2012 and 2013.
