News:

Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

BSG is *very* soapy imo .

But it's good soap *and* stuff blows up often enough to have the word "Battlestar" in the title .

I'm looking forward to Caprica; Eric Stoltz and Esai Morales are reason enough for me to watch. But about BSG:
I think Starbuck is NOT a Cylon. She definitely died, but was "saved" by someone, possibly the Seraphs. This is a good connection to the old series. If it's meant to be. However, what about when the Cylons took her ovary? ("The Farm") How did she come back? Did the Cylons have something to do with it? Oh yeah, I have a feeling this will be one giant mindfrak.

Questions: Seeing how the final five are "different" from the other humanoid Cylon models, do they have regenerative qualities? Can they jack in to a computer? Are they descendants of the Lords of Kobol, or lords themselves? I could see Starbuck perhaps being a Lord descendant or something.

This season's leaning toward the sentiment that Humans originated from skin-job Cylons...
PS <Joke> Don't drop the soap!
Okay, I'm lost.  What's a Seraph?  Did I miss something or is it from the original BSG?  I had forgotten all about her surgery when they had her at the farm!  Good call, Mrs. Mulder!
Only 9 eps left!  Grrrrrr........argghhhh!

Can we do away with
spoiler
space now?

Anywho...
Maybe Earth is a a giant resurrection hub? Whoever dies there, human or Cylon, gets rebooted as a Cylon maybe. Maybe Kara Thrace really did die and maybe the Starbuck 2.0 is a new model Cylon.

Also, the humans totally nuked Earth to wipe out the Cylons 2K years ago. IMHO.
I hope she isn't a clone because clones don't have the memories of their master copies .

Fine with me.  I won't be missing any of the remaining eps anyhow.

Good guess and yes, I agree.

Also,
I think the corpse in the Viper that Starbuck 2.0 found should be referred to as Charbuck.
