Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Here's what Gingi thought on her blog:

Yeah, I think we all have developed thick skins where Joss is concerned. His shows are a
bit formulaic and so are his characters. I saw more Dollhouse clone in the hacker chick
but still the same type of character over and over with the kick butt Zoe character added.
It works for him but after awhile it gets old for some of his audience. Firefly he had a
cast to die for but not this time.

Rosie

Weird I hunk of Skye as a River w/out the crazy.

Typical Joss is Gold to me. Yes Joss repeats himself but it works for me. Also based on what we he said before it seems to just come out subconsciously.

The deaths hurt, a lot, but Joss also gives me great joy, so I deal and keep going.

I adore the fact Coulson lives. I just wish it was Wash.

Okay, I finally watched this today. Not impressed. Typical Joss. Except for Coulson I
didn't connect with any of the other characters. The so called hunk of the show has a
cupie bow mouth that is a turn off and for crying out loud where does Joss get all of
his skinny little brunette women as his heroines. They all look cloned. He definitely
has a type and if I was his wife I think I would bop him over. Also if you are going
to put in nerdy little geeks with foreign accents as comedy relief it would help if their
accents weren't so strong that you couldn't understand them. The girl not too bad but
the boy is terrible.

The stories better be stronger than what I saw or this is going to be another Heros
of one season and done.

Sounds like Tahiti may have been his version of heaven. I have no idea how they brought
him back to life.

Um , those accents were pretty mild .
Seriously .

( I watch a lot of British stuff including Coronation Street , daily . And even then the "Northern" accent is nothing compared to real Scots )

:PSA:
It's nice here with a view of the trees
Eating with a spoon?
They don't give you knives?
'Spect you watch those trees
Blowing in the breeze
We want to see you lead a normal life

The girl's was strong but normal and not hard to understand until she starts arguing with the young man when it
gets stronger. He was much harder and has a Cockney sound to it that he has tried to calm down to be more understandable.
Unfortunately if you were raised with that accent you don't lose certain parts of it and it is not something that people
can quickly decipher in a fast moving show. I DVR'd it and could rewind to try and catch what he said but I'm sure
many lost some especially when the accents get stronger while arguing.

I too listen and watch a lot of British productions but more importantly I lived there for more than 3 years so I've
pretty much heard them all and yes they can be very strong in some sections of the country, especially the middle
and working class sections. Your ear has to be tuned into the rhythm of it. I'm sure the more people hear the easier
it will get but I doubt if I'm the only one that had problems with it and yes my hearing is very good.

If you're talking about the Fitz/Simmons duo (or whatever they're called), I think by the time they were doing their back-and-forth I just didn't care enough to try to process much.  I don't know -- the show just seemed like it had a whole lot of chatter.

But that's me.  I get the same way if I'm on the phone for way too long. :D

Yes, that is who I'm talking about and your right (whoever). I don't know if I will make
it through the season. I kind of feel with this like I did with Dollhouse. Just something to
watch not really anything to look forward to. I have probably aged out of this type of show.  :)

The girl has the high class "posh" accent which is the easiest of all to understand .
The guy is Scottish ( mild ) .
I think the fact they talked over each other made for more difficulties than anything else .

Either way - no difficulties on my front

I have to agree with Phyll, I couldn't understand what the adorkables were saying. Between their accents and talking over one another, it was gibberish. I chalked it up to technobabble and stopped trying.
"Is this how time normally passes? Really slowly, in the right order?"

AdmiralDigby

They'll grow on us , then Joss will kill the girl .

Yeah, but that technobabble gave us technomagic which could reconstruct crime scenes and put them up as holograms.
