Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Probably spent 10 hours over the weekend playing. I love it!

I've run across three dragons so far. One is in the intro of the game and your hands are literally tied and you are left to run for your life. Of the other two, the first was part of a quest and I had 6 or 7 NPC's with me and we took it down easily enough. I did have to drink a few health potions when I was on fire for about 30 seconds, but the dragon died nonetheless.

The next dragon I saw freaked me out. I was on my way to retrieve and item for a quest and I looked up at a distant mountain top  and spied a dragon circling a structure of some sort and it was breathing down hell on who/whatever was on that peak. I decided to take a closer look.

It took me a good 20 minutes to make my way to the top of the peak. I was going slow and staying off the main trail so I could get up without being noticed. Once I was close enough to see what was going on I noticed that the dragon was attacking a group of frost trolls. There were 5 dead already and only one remained and I watched him wither in a rain of fire.

So I had a choice. Stay put in my cozy hiding place in a crook between two big rocks with a dozen or so trees for additional cover and hope the dragon goes away, or try and kill the dragon on my own. I attacked!

I had a great spot to launch my attack and I was hard to see because of my cover. The dragon was confused. Every time he circled into view I would loose and arrow and get a hit, but after about a dozen hits (and only 1/4 of his life gone) the dragon knew where I was and down came a rain of fire. I had taken a potion of fire resist, but my health was rapidly draining anyway. I was so eager to get arrows in the air that I almost forgot to drink my health potions, but I got over my fear of burning to death and drank some potions and kept loosing arrows. Luckily I had enough potions and food to keep my health at a manageable level and was able to take the dragon down after several dozen more arrows. Whew!

This video pretty much mirrors the first dragon kill. It's part of a story line quest (as opposed to my second which was a random encounter), so I image a lot of people experienced the same thing.

And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Did someone shoot that dragon's wings off?

I like to think the dragon ate that party anyways .

It's nice here with a view of the trees
Eating with a spoon?
They don't give you knives?
'Spect you watch those trees
Blowing in the breeze
We want to see you lead a normal life
