Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

I really enjoyed this weeks ep. It was not written by Jed or Maurissa, it was Paul Zbyszewski.
It was more emotional ep, tighter but still had humor.

I am sorry for those who aren't connecting but Digby and I like it and there's more to come.

I like it well enough so far, and I agree that last night's episode was markedly better.  I even sort of kind of liked Skye.  I think they're moving much slower with the character development than they could, but it's starting to come together.

We don't watch the shows live. I put it on and there was the cold opening with the campfire scene. Then they show the plane with way too many engines and the Scoobies mulling around. Ann couldn't figure out what was going on, she thought we were watching NCIS.

No way Fitz or Simmons (I haven't learned which one is which yet) was going to die this early. There isn't enough of an emotional investment in whichever character it is yet for Joss to kill them off. Yet. Thankfully the episode wasn't about the hacker that betrayed the team but inexplicably is still on the team instead at Gitmo where she belongs.

I'd hoped there for a moment that they were going to take my advice and have a 200 gigajoules lightning bolt tear through the plane over the Atlantic and get rid of all the characters and just start from scratch.

Big cameo was someone from a bonus scene from the DVD.

I find it interesting that about half the people think the show should try to tie into the movies more and about half think they should stand on their own more/explore the other aspects of the Marvel universe more.

I kinda thought that Simmons was a goner ( and would return with some powers later down the road ala Fred/Illyria ) before Ward went all James Bondy .
I also enjoyed the nerds mocking Ward and Ward being aware ...

The Bus needs a crew .

Coulson's scar means he's real , right ?

;)

:haha: I had the exact same thought. I torrented NCIS and MAoS and watched them on my computer, because both the TV's were being used and I didn't want to wait to watch it on the DVR. Anyway, when that opening scene started I thought I had started the wrong video. I was right out of the NCIS opening scene playbook.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

I thought Coulson's scene with the firefighter was well done.  He and May at least have more chemistry than Ward and Spy!Barbie.

Yeah, the electricity in the air wasn't just from the floating rats! Whew...I actually FELT something watching this ep. Got misty when they were all feeling so helpless and sad...and Coulson would not let her give up, and how he was with the doomed firefighter...and LOVED his talk about death. But boy, May and Coulson were smokin' in that segment! Does he have a high 'metal' content cuz there is something alien in there? hmmmm?

Notice how I didn't bitch last week? Even though the ratings continued to fall?

Last week was... moving in the right direction. As was this week. It's moved off my 'dear God please make it stop' list to my 'well, it's getting there' list. It still isn't the show I thought it would be (whatever I thought it would be, this still ain't it) but I'm willing to give it more time. For now.

Next week, Thor II tie-in episode. So if you haven't seen Thor II and want to be in on whatever tie-in they manage, go see Thor before.

I actually watched last week's; I tend to agree.

I enjoyed it ( surprise ! )
Liked how Fitz said that Coulson had asked him to watch over Ward .

;)

That said - the Bus needs a crew
