Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

New Orleans Saints rookie tailback Mark Ingram joins teammates for workouts at Tulane

New Orleans Saints rookie tailback Mark Ingram has joined his new teammates in recent days for their player workouts at Tulane University.

Ingram, who has been working out throughout the offseason with local trainer Wyatt Harris at Sonic Boom academy in Jefferson, was hesitant to join the Saints' workout program at first since he's not under contract yet and doesn't have injury protection. But he decided that it would benefit him to learn the Saints' offensive plays and terminology, as well as start developing chemistry with his new teammates.

"I've been meeting with Drew (Brees) and a couple of the guys, just learning the system and getting familiar with things out here. So I'm really just trying to get accustomed to 'em and just getting used to everything going on," Ingram said. "I really just wanted to develop better chemistry with the guys, be out here, get ready, get to know 'em better and just get familiar with the terminology and the system. And that's what I wanted to do, just be out here with the guys."

Wouldn't surprise me if Brees is paying his insurance .

Word is that Reggie Bush is being traded to the Dolphins, meaning Mark Ingram will be the go-to running back for the Saints this and future seasons.

The Ravens had scheduled a few workouts this summer at a local university too. I'll root for them but I'm not really into football seasons anymore. I am sad though that we are losing two of our veterans, Derrick Mason and Todd Heap. Fans wear the quarterback's jersey and of course Ray Lewis's, but those two guys have a great fan following, too. I was sad when kicker Matt Stover was not used (they were trying to groom a new kicker and he wasn't doing well, I was so mad) and he went to play with the Colts. Stover came back to Baltimore for his retirement announcement this year; he's done a lot for this community. They all have. It's a bit bittersweet in B-More that the lockout has ended.

I am sad that the Seahawks let Matt Hasselbeck go. Yes he's in his mid 30's, but I still think he's a better choice than clipboard jesus (AKA Charlie Whitehurst) and new pickup Tavaris Jackson. Oh well. Good for the Titans for signing him.

What clipboard jesus may look like (the ladies seem to like Charlie)

And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Unlike some , I didn't mind that Bush wasn't an every down back .
But then I guess that means the money was wrong .
Good move for everyone I hope .

WTF ?

As a second year pro, he shouldn't be making these rookie mistakes.
