Not really agreeing with a whole lot of this column, but thought there might be those who would like to read it.

And for some brutal criticisms of the show, check out some of the comments.

Yikes! Where is all that Joss love out there? Did they forget he gives you what you need not what you
want? I think the idol has fallen a bit but truthfully it appears once again network interference will bring
down another show.

I agree with many of the "Well thought out" criticisms in the comments. I would love to see the original pilot to compare and contrast with the aired pilot. I'd bet money it has Joss written all over it.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

I bet it does to, but Joss likes to leave a mystery with his shows that play out over time which is what he
probably did with this one and for some reason the suits don't seem to think we can deal with that and have
to be  told up front what exactly is going on. Joss's shows would be better off going straight to DVD so that
impatient people can get their fix right away. I'm a little surprised some network doesn't try to do this since
that appears to be where the money is with him but I guess they need all that advertising revenue to make
it worth their while.

I spent my time on You Tube, waiting for BSG.

I don't know, something about it just doesn't interest me, and I like Eliza Dushku. Is there a reason to care she's getting jacked in and erased every week? Is there a reason to watch it? Cause I stopped watching Terminator.

I think the last episode of Terminator was when the redheaded chick was a urinal. Can't say I've missed it at all.

I like Eliza Dushku, she just isn't talented enough to play a different character every week. The school marm look was anything but believable. And I don't see myself getting attached to her dull mundane blank slate character, whatever her name is besides Echo.

Hmmm. OK, I see—the role could be an actor's dream, the opportunity to play unlimited characters.

But you know when Buffy and Faith switched bodies: Eliza kicked ass. Sarah was believable, but I didn't buy it completely.

I just watched it online.  It seemed okay, but I found it an incredibly sad concept.  It's the perfect rape.

Saxon

For me it was. meh.

Just in case here's some spoiler space.....
Why use REAL people to mimic? Wouldn't it be better to make them 'superhero' types? not just plugged in as a decesed person who actually was so messed up by her own tragic story that she took her own life? And what are the odds that she'd come face to face with the guy who kidnapped/raped/whatever "her"? Why give her a personna with weaknesses at all? Bad eyesight? Asthma? What the? I figured the whole point would be we'd have a new and improved 'person' who could be 'programmed' to be be 'better' than the average human....all the while giving these girls (are there guys too?) a place to either 'hide' from their pasts, relocate as in witness protection type thing, or someone who considered it a 'call to duty'?
They better fix it fast....I doubt we'll get to see Tim's work (he was just doing some the other day). Cuz to me, I've seen lot's better shows come and go the last year or so.

This is my guess. What makes a person "a person" is incredibly complex. So complex that having a programmer sit down at a computer a code it would not be feasible. Being able to record/copy/use an existing personality would be easier and more efficient. Dats my 2 pennies. :)

Obviously it is SciFi and the writer can do whatever they want, but I'd be criticizing them for not doing it the way they are, had they made it easy to program a complete personalty from scratch. Not that I think it would even be possible to copy a personality in the first place.  ;)
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.
