Dexter: Early Cuts, is a twelve-part animated web series, that premiered on October 25, 2009 and concluded on January 3, 2010. Michael C. Hall reprises his role as the voice of Dexter.
The web series precedes the current narrative of the show and revolves around Dexter hunting down the three victims that he mentions in the sixth episode of season 1, "Return to Sender" on three separate occasions. Each victim has their own story and each one is split into four chapters with each one becoming available to watch on the Showtime website every subsequent Sunday.
Two of the victims help Dexter find some accoutrements in his world.
