This one looks even better than the last one.

Now if there is just no ten minute song sequence to stop the show dead in its tracks...

Would ya stop that gao se?!

I just read a comment on amazon.com about how the 30 minute formula made Futurama work and that the makers don't know how to make a 2-hour film. *whatever*

I liked Bender's Big Score. I suspect Bucks has some laughs but it's a means to an end. It's in the middle. I'd rather have a semi-sucky movie in part of a quadrilogy than no movies at all.

Yeah, we will too.

NO LENTICULAR PRINTED SLEEVES, PLEASE!

Lenticular printing is a technology in which a lenticular lens is used to produce images with an illusion of depth, or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles. Examples of lenticular printing include prizes given in Cracker Jack snack boxes that showed flip and animation effects such as winking eyes, and modern airport advertising graphics that change their message depending on the viewing angle. This technology was created in the 1940s but has evolved in recent years to show more motion and increased depth. Originally used mostly in novelty items, lenticular prints are now being used as a marketing tool to show products in motion. Recent advances in large-format presses have allowed for oversized lenses to be used in lithographic lenticular printing.

Each image is sliced into strips, which are then interlaced with one or more other images. These are printed on the back of a piece of plastic, with a series of long, thin lenses molded into the other side. The lenses are lined up with each image interlace, so that light reflected off each strip is refracted in a slightly different direction, but the light from all strips of a given image are sent in the same direction (parallel).

The end result is that a single eye or camera looking at the print sees a single whole image, but an eye or camera with a different angle of view will see a different image.

More Futurama of any kind is better than no Futurama. Or, as one poster on AICN said, "Mediocre Futurama is better than no Futurama."

I liked the first movie better, this one not so much. I do think the half hour format works better than the movies. But it is better than nuthin'. And as before, I'll buy the movie to support the show. It does happen from thyme to thyme.

Meh.

It was like a date that started out great but just fizzled out partway through.
His format really does seem to shine in the thirty minute slot.

I'm hoping to obtain ( legally) the dvd today .

But I do agree that Futurama ( like most 1/2hour programmes ) works better in bite size bits .

I did enjoy probably about the first two-thirds.  Then the tone changed and totally lost me.

BTW, there's a "Lost Episode" in the extras.  It's an episode done by the Futurama gang which was part of the Playstation2 video game.  I only paid half-attention because I thought it was an ad for a game, but it turns out it wasn't (http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/12/video-games-f-3.html).

Is it an Easter Egg or can normal 'tards find it ?

???

I'm pretty sure it's not an Easter egg, although Pearl was the one who started the episode.

Review:
There were parts that I laughed OUT LOUD. (will insert joke later) It's not as good as the first, but I liked it. Halfway through the movie, when the Beast showed up, I just kept wondering, "How the hell did we get HERE?!"
I liked that you got to see through the rip in the Universe.
It was a bizarre "episode," but then again so was "Amazon Women in the Mood."

I got my wish: no lenticular cover!!!

The cover is kick-ass.

And the limited edition lithos and posters are far-out.

Like E said, the next movie, "Bender's Game," looks awesome.

The Lost Adventure was ok, but I wasn't paying close attention to the last act. *Zoidberg awww*

Yeah, even though the voices and writers are the same, the quasi-cartoon graphics and game sequences just throw me off.
