I just got my Dollhouse DVD's Wednesday and watched "Epitaph One" last night. Very cool.
I also watched the original pilot. the first few minutes seemed a bit disjointed (sometimes I like that, but not this time), but the rest of the ep really did a good job of setting up the show and introducing the players. I'll have to watch the official first ep again to be able to compare and contrast them.

Nah, when (I think) Felicia Day's character said said that we are given what we need, not what we want. Tamara used to say that about how Joss gave us what we needed not what we wanted with the movie
