It was good. Very Buffy/Angelesque in the dialog department (I laughed quite a bit) due to the drug.  :) The neighbor girl is so very, very cute! Next weeks episode looks to be pretty intense. Oh... and Echo on the motorcycle with a short skirt... I could see more of that!  ;)

Suit: That my dim witted viewer is something that you can NEVER understand. We do things because they are what is best for our ego and our ego's are so much more amazing that you could possibly fathom that I won't even bother explaining anymore.  ;)

A buddy of mine is claiming that there's a new dude coming on as mucky-muck at Fox and that he's a Joe Sweden flan .

Totally a rumour I think .

Unfortunately the ratings tanked, again. Even Tamara over on Whedonesque has said that it is done for, no second season.

Fox has said that it will air all 13 episodes, but Prison Break is taking over as a lead-in when TSCC finishes. PB and DH are both scheduled to finish up on the same night, but PB is a two hour finale (which would bump DH a week, it that). Fox is listing the DH finale as a finale and not a season finale.

Does not look good.

Not surprising. Word of mouth was bad (even from Whedon die hards) after the first few episode because they were pretty lackluster. Putting the episode that would have made a great pilot as ep #6 was stooooopid on Fox's part. Had Episode 6 been the pilot, I would have been telling everyone I know about the show! Instead I spent my time bad mouthing Fox and defending Whedon and telling people it's going to get better, Joss says so! Just give it a few more weeks! But people aren't going to give a show that sucks the first few episodes much attention and I don't blame them (the viewers) at all.

I didn't watch the show after the first episode because I just wasn't that interested.  I finally gave it a chance yesterday and watched eps 3-6 on Hulu.  The only thing that perked my interest was the story between Paul and Mellie.  And then they have Mellie leave.

It just doesn't feel like a Joss show to me.

It just doesn't feel like a Joss show to me.

I said from the outset that it felt like a second-tier NBC crime drama with some sci-fi elements. The "Man on the Street" episode was pretty good, last night's was pretty good but even at that, it was a rehash of a rehash of an old Star Trek episode. I wish Joss could get the respect he deserves, but maybe he this is as good as he can get.

I think this was a reluctant endeavor for him. I'm not sure his heart was in it from the beginning. Maybe
at first when everyone seemed like they wanted him back but when he saw it was the same ole same ole
with network interference I think he just went through the motions.

Just noticed on Whedonesque that Tamara is being her usual charming self. She really does have a
personality problem. How in the world does she get along with her coworkers? Maybe she saves all her
ire for the internet. Lucky us. :)

Since I have been afraid we would not get this far I think this is great news. Those first five were like protein bars, taste awful but with some nutrients. Ep 6 and on are made of awesome, that is my Joss.

I never expected Season 2. I agree with Joss not having his heart in it but continuing to work for Eliza's sake. I'm enjoying the ride. I'll add this DVD set to my Joss collection.

Then Joss can create more Internet stuff without studio interference.

Wooo Hooo!
