Pride and Prejudice and Zombies -- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies features the original text of Jane Austen's beloved novel with all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie action. As our story opens, a mysterious plague has fallen upon the quiet English village of Meryton—and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she's soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers—and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead. Complete with 20 illustrations in the style of C. E. Brock (the original illustrator of Pride and Prejudice), this insanely funny expanded edition will introduce Jane Austen's classic novel to new legions of fans.
Jane Austen is the author of Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and other masterpieces of English literature.
Seth Grahame-Smith is the author of How to Survive a Horror Movie and The Big Book of Porn. He lives in Los Angeles.

I just got World War Z, so that'll be my next zombie book.

I normally get free shipping from Amazon just by buying $25.00 or more and since that is very easy for me
I never pay shipping there and I don't have Prime.

The author of surprise hit and EW favorite Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Seth Graham-Smith, has inked a two-book deal with Grand Central Press (Graham-Smith is rumored to be receiving $575,000 in the deal). The author's first book with the publisher will be Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a re-imagined biography of the president, if he were a vampire hunter (a pub date hasn't been released yet). According to Publishers Weekly, Hollywood is already interested in obtaining film rights.

One more thyme. I don't know why, but Abe as a Vampire Slayer fascinates me.
Think of it - the Civil War retold in the context of a battle between vampires ( and assorted other nasties ) and a cadre of "Hunters" who try to hold the forces of darkness at bay . Throw in slavery and reconstruction and a European plot to undermine a young USA ( perhaps the "New World" has been promised to some Transylvanian prince and his minions )
I mean this is a really cool premise !
For example :
Lincoln goes undercover after his "assasination" and teams up with a misguided Boothe ( who thought he was killing a demon Lincoln ) to hunt down the evil European cadre ( and their American acolytes ) and preserve the Republic from an even greater threat than what the Confederacy was .
Hell , the entire Civil War was a result of the machinations of said cadre in order to cloak their intentions of North American conquest in the name of the forces of darkness !
gao se , I want a series and now !
