Among the revelations: The planet they arrive at is actually called Earf.

Boy I hope nobody's cable goes out due to all the bad weather...
*turns on Sci Fi for non-stop BSG action...*
"And here...we...go!"

Sad, but satisfying. Standing O with a clap so hard it stings.

I mentioned to a friend that this was getting too happy .
( as if shattered love amongst a holocaust is happy )
And then that .
OK , so at the risk of being obtuse
Kara *has* to be the final Cylon , right ? I mean a dead Starbuck and a wrecked plane along with a shiny new Starbuck and an even shinier plane , right ?
:-\
Ellen (Saul's wife) was the one under rubble earthling-Saul was talking with. He also declared at the very end she was the fifth. I agree: One would think Kara be a Cylon too. Maybe the angel race (Seraphs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seraphs_(Battlestar_Galactica))) from original BSG is in neo-BSG now?

If memory serves, Apollo died and the Seraphs brought him back when Sheba offered herself in his place. As the picture shows, his suit (and viper) were pristine.
Also, there's this from Ties that Bind:
I've nearly forgotten almost all of the old BSG ( save teh hawtness that was Cassiopia )
I mean Kara is obviously something not human , right ?
I'm feeling powerfully stupid right now .
( especially as I just exploded my soup and gravy in the microwave )
:-\
I still enjoy the old series, from time to time. After they revealed the fifth this was all I could think of to reconcile that very issue with her. I had forgotten about the painting until I'd read about it on that wiki link.
Starbuck's painting ?
The red thing ?
The third picture I posted in the spoiler box a few posts ago ... it was an edit, so it may have been after you read the message.

That's the pic .
There's something in it that resembled old BSG's "Ship of Lights" (the crystal thing), which the angel people used for transport.

You're right !
Permaybehaps I ought to track down the OS on dvd ....
Well, this is total crap! Starbuck is a cylon. Ellen is a cylon. Earth was a planet full of skin jobs (did you notice they were not just the 12 models??) They have just frakked up the entire premise of the show, IMHO.
Patience Grasshopper .

Patience Grasshopper .
:D
Did you forget who you're talking to?? :haha:
It's their own fault btw, making us wait for a frakkin year between seasons then sayin' "Oh, well this is the end of the story so we're done"!
At least it's ending .
Sort of .
I'm under the impression that along with "Caprica" there's a movie being shot right now that deals with the Cylon's side in greater depth .
I'm guessing Caprica will only have the metal cylons (not the "skin-jobs"). Not as excited about it as I was with BSG. Ah, well, we'll see, I guess. You never know, maybe it'll be even better than BSG!
Caprica is going to be a soap opera ( like Dallas ) so it could rule or it could suck .

Aren't they ALL soap operas? (or Space Operas?) BSG is one of those shows that you have to watch it from the beginning to know what's going on.
BSG is *very* soapy imo .
But it's good soap *and* stuff blows up often enough to have the word "Battlestar" in the title .
I'm looking forward to Caprica; Eric Stoltz and Esai Morales are reason enough for me to watch. But about BSG:
I think Starbuck is NOT a Cylon. She definitely died, but was "saved" by someone, possibly the Seraphs. This is a good connection to the old series. If it's meant to be. However, what about when the Cylons took her ovary? ("The Farm") How did she come back? Did the Cylons have something to do with it? Oh yeah, I have a feeling this will be one giant mindfrak.
Questions: Seeing how the final five are "different" from the other humanoid Cylon models, do they have regenerative qualities? Can they jack in to a computer? Are they descendants of the Lords of Kobol, or lords themselves? I could see Starbuck perhaps being a Lord descendant or something.
This season's leaning toward the sentiment that Humans originated from skin-job Cylons...
PS <Joke> Don't drop the soap!
Okay, I'm lost. What's a Seraph? Did I miss something or is it from the original BSG? I had forgotten all about her surgery when they had her at the farm! Good call, Mrs. Mulder!
Only 9 eps left! Grrrrrr........argghhhh!
Can we do away with
spoiler
space now?
Anywho...
Maybe Earth is a a giant resurrection hub? Whoever dies there, human or Cylon, gets rebooted as a Cylon maybe. Maybe Kara Thrace really did die and maybe the Starbuck 2.0 is a new model Cylon.
Also, the humans totally nuked Earth to wipe out the Cylons 2K years ago. IMHO.
I hope she isn't a clone because clones don't have the memories of their master copies .
( outside fantasy/sci-fi )

Fine with me. I won't be missing any of the remaining eps anyhow.

Good guess and yes, I agree.
Also,
I think the corpse in the Viper that Starbuck 2.0 found should be referred to as Charbuck.
