Title: ep Sep 28, 2008

Cameron: "Apparently not."

She's spooky!

A very Cameron centric episode. Summer did a great job!

It was a tad confusing to me.
I mean, something triggers her and she 'deevoles'? She has to go through some kind of cycle to get right again? What made her click? what made her click back? I was really happy to see Cameron's back story (buy why is she called Cameron and not Alison?)...and Summer did do a great job...but I'm just confused. Also, is the red head a copy of the real red head? Did the real woman die with her husband and the terminator take over? Questions.

Allison was the name of the real live human being they modeled the Terminator from. The Terminator didn't have need for a name until the Connors gave her one.

I was fuming for awhile there.  I was trying to figure out why they were chasing a terminator, and why didn't she just bust through the door, etc.  I loved that so much of the ep was Summer's!  Now, will she try to get in touch with Allison's mom again?  Maybe in the next few eps they'll show how she went from "bad terminator" to John's protector.

I know that part...about her being modelled after the real 'Alison from Palmdale', but why did 'Cameron' have 'flashbacks'? Why now? What clicked them on, then clicked them off? And did they actually 'name' her? No, she had the name when she arrived in the small town looking for John at the school, remember. Wondered then if she wasn't really a 'sub' sitting in for a 'real girl' in town. *remember, she had a story then, her dad sold tractors or something*.

Anyway...my confusion was to the 'why' that whole episode with her 'past' went down. If an  apple can turn it on, why hasn't it happened before? If a snap of the neck can turn it off...*shudder*. And why didn't she kill the girl? Too confusing.

I don't think it was the apple, but something about the barcode scanner and the reflective balloon....(Just guessing)
Ratings continue to slide. Word is that it is on the verge of cancellation. Next week is supposed to me the make or break point.

That's a shame, it is a good show but this week was a little confusing and not as well done as it could be. Lena Headly
is the weak link. She is not a good Sarah Connor. She has one expression and that is sullen and she doesn't seem
to radiate the toughness needed for this role. This last episode was all over the place. Where does the pregnant neighbor
fit into this and why was so much time spent on her. I'm guessing her baby plays a role in the future but the story really
dragged in those scenes.
I plan on watching again with Jessica, maybe I will see things I missed. I just don't get how things can 'click' on and off with her. I did figure that his foreshadowing mention "if you plan to kill me again..." remark was telling.
Totally agree on all points! I just do NOT like Lena as Sarah, not one whit!!

I'm guessing part of that was just to keep her busy....so Cameron could go missing for that length of time. Stupid though...notice that they didn't do the 'code' before talking on the phone? And you'd think that John would know by now that something THAT important should be reported to mom ASAP!

I got the impression last year when they did an interview with Lena that she had a chip on her shoulder about people
comparing her to Linda Hamilton but she has done nothing to make this part her own. I don't know if it's poor writing
for her or just her lack of personality in this role but it is the real drag on this show. I hope they explain the Allyson
Terminator part a little more. I'm assuming she was real and close to John and the terminators knew this and made
a replica to infiltrate the group. BUT John would know she was a terminator or at least does eventually so why did he
become close to this one after he knew Allyson was probably gone. That is convoluted and may eventually be explained.

That little trick got compromised in the previous episode, so I think they abandoned it.

I'm thinkin' that he kept her and 'turned her' since she does carry the memories of the real Alison. Now, what was their relationship? How old is John supposed to be when she is there, part of his group? Remember when Cameron was trapped by the truck and John was going to 'kill' her? She started sounding like a real girl and crying, 'you love me', and 'I love you'...hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Wouldn't they make up a new one? They KNOW these killers can/will use the phone to get info. Dumb. Just like any covert ops, you would change up your security issues all the time.

Well we know Cameron aka Allyson's Mother is pregnant with her now and so Allyson is supposed to be what? 20ish or
late teens in the future and John is 15 or 16 now so he would be 30 ish? I'm just guessing but that's the way the numb3rs
add up. I got the impression Allyson was close to him in the future maybe girlfriend which is why the replication but
we don't get the thyme frame when he discovered Allyson was the terminator Cameron.

I have to stop and realize sometimes that this John isn't supposed to know what she is to him in the future or why
and yet when he works on her circuits in her head he acts like he does and when she yelled out that she loves him
and he loves her he acted like he knew what she was talking about.

I think we aren't supposed to think too much about timelines or continuity. Much like last year we weren't supposed to think about those Escalade-sized plot holes.

Yeah, it just doesn't seem to line up right. Also gotta remember that they 'jumped up' into the future, what? 7 years?

Too confusing. Also, remember that we saw John's dad and uncle playing in the park...and his 'dad' was just a toddler. So, considering that Alison isn't even born yet, she would be closer in age to John's 'dad'...whom he (John) sent back in thyme to impregnate his mom! ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tinfoil:

Oh! Just thought of this: The only way to make John and Alison/Cameron closer in age, would be for John to 'jump' into the future again...right? But, I just can't see those guys looking at him as being a leader when he still doesn't know when to call his mom when really important things are going down!

Your right, I forgot about the previous jump. I don't think I better think about this too much or my head will
explode.  :)  I wonder if the writers have. If we go by that time frame then they should be a good 22 years difference
in age by the future. This episode didn't show the Uncle. Where does he go and why was there so much interaction
with the cop who is the father of the new baby coming.

I did notice they now had two actors from the show "Judging Amy" on. Ellison of course and the woman at the
halfway house who was questioning Cameron.

Yeah, at first, I thought that the pregnant gal was going to be Alison's mom! Then, that went out the window, so, now I guess that's it's the cop angle they are after. She obviously freaked when she heard he was a cop...but, since he didn't notice it, I guess they're safe, cuz he sure isn't a very good one.

I thought the same thing!!  I really like this show, but they've got to get it together.  Of course, it's starting to sound like it won't make it to the end of Season 2 anyway.  (If it weren't for the writers' strike it probably wouldn't have made it past season 1!)

Sad but true. I love all the characters/actors EXCEPT Sarah and John Connor! *eep*
