The disc popped out and I accidentally knocked it back in .

If it popped out, I'd say shut it off and restart it without any discs in.  Then try a GoT disc.
It may have applied, but thought you were trying to do a new upgrade.

I put the GoT disc in and waited five minutes .

I am so pissed by this time that when Joy gets home I'm on my way out to Wallmart to buy a "new but not Fecking Sony player" and then the music starts .

Huzzah! That's one of the things about Bluray is that the discs will take a while to spin up. Glad that it is working.
