Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Those are the kick-ass graphics of the Black Market Beagles guy (whose name happens to be Adam).

He also did the Firefly places posters (Serenity Valley, Londinium, etc.).

So jealous.

Now, if anyone wants to actually TALK about BSG...  :P

(I know Digby might not have seen it, but I can't take it anymore.)

There were a lot of interesting developments. I really liked the question Lee posed to his father, "What if Zak had come out of that Viper? Would it change how you feel about him, knowing he was a Cylon?"

I say no, except when the Cylon puts a bullet in your head or blows you up. However, some Cylons have decided to be a certain way.

I'd like the writers to touch base on the Tyrols' child. I've seen a pic online at imdb.com of their kid -- he has red hair. It will also be interesting to see what happens to Chief's relationship with Cally.

So any thoughts of the "eye scan"? What does it mean? A Raider's "scan" can disable the mechanics of a newer Viper model. Is it disabling, or a virus, similar to what Sharon did after plugging in at the CiC? Adama was quoted as saying, "We just sent them a virus."

So clearly a Raider can detect things. I don't think it necessarily turned on a switch for Anders, and I think the reason his safety was on his guns wasn't because of programming -- I think he's just frakked up that he's a Cylon and he's just coping badly. Chief pushed him to get into his Viper, but not a lot of good it did him. The only good was for the Cylons. I think the Raider deduced that the four "got the message" and the Cylons' Plan is on schedule.

They are pretty gross when they blow up though. *shudder*

I think all the Cylons have some kind of Cylon proximity detection in their programming. Even Six commented that "the Five are close." (teaser for next week)

And I just dig Katee Sackoff. Sometimes she can annoy me, but for the most part, I think her Starbuck portrayal is cool to watch. Not sure what's going on with her brain though.

I'm reading a synopsis of "Maelstrom" from last season, the episode where Starbuck's Viper supposedly blows up. Early in the episode, they show her visiting an Oracle, who repeats things Leoben told her, that he sees how things fit together and he is coming for her. "You can't stop him and he will show you the way."

Then she has a close call on a run where she, Hotdog and Apollo were overseeing refueling of the Galactica. All of a sudden she sees a Heavy Raider and starts to chase it down. Gaeta reports there is no contact on dradis, and neither Hotdog or Apollo see the Raider. She does get hit by it and she barely makes it back to Galactica. But when she asks the Chief where the damage was on her ship, he tells her there wasn't a scratch, and she looks underneath her ship herself to confirm it. This assessment echoes the report Chief gave to Adama and Roslin in this week's ep, but I don't remember him commenting on the other incident.

Then on the last run, she hallucinates Leoben talking to her and in between are flashbacks of her last visits with her mother. The last thing she says to Lee before her ship blows up is, "It's ok. Just let me go... They're coming for me." However she got to Earth, it seems like she definitely got help from the Cylons. Which means Galactica has no reason to trust her.

I had commented last night to Eric that "it's funny that all the last Cylons are on Galactica. Eveyrthing happens on Galactica!" I know that's the way the show works (much like interchangeable love interests) but it can be construed as too coincidental.

It's all smoke n' mirrors I tell ya!

Baltar gets way to much sexy-time action than he deserves .

You're telling me... That girl was HOT!
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

I think Zak is the final Cylon. Either him or someone else.

You could see it in the old man's eyes. He would have embraced his son, Cylon or not.

That sounds plausible. I felt, at the time I was watching it, like he subconsciously ordered them to abort their attack. Kind of along the same lines as you were thinking... "Hey toaster, we're here, active and will handle it from within."

I suppose the cylons could have foreseen that that their initial attack on the colonies might not have been complete and total destruction of humanity, so they placed several versions of the human models around the fleet as sleepers to help clean up the remnants of humanity. Obviously they aren't all wired the same. :)

The problem is that these are supposed to be "special" Cylons. Of course, that doesn't mean "unique", but they sure seem rare.  [/spoiler]
