Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

how sad that because of Owen Wilson's problems, he had to drop out of that movie...  :(

I guess Idol has disowned Kelly Clarkson. Oh well I hope she kicks more butt on her next project.

You knew whoever was gonna win was gonna cry like a baby.

Can't believe he pulled it off.

He's so sensitive! And so is his bro!

I'm so glad Cook won. I don't watch this but do listen to the You tube vids and some of his songs were just
wonderful. Especially the studio versions where you can hear the full song. He was by far the most versatile
and it didn't hurt he was an OK boy either.  :)

He improved with every performance when he started singing out of his comfort zone. It was a good choice.

I'd have to say my favorite performances of his were:
"Eleanor Rigby"
"Day Tripper"
"Hello"
"Always Be My baby"
"All I Ever Really Need is You"

I like the performances more than the studio songs. There's more of an edge to the performances. Although I must say his voice is VERY good on his cover of "Billie Jean," even better than the Chris Cornell version he was emulating. And supposedly there are no orchestral strings in the background of the studio version of "Always Be My Baby" -- I'll take 2 minutes of Cook and strings any day.

I thought Archuleta sang better on Tuesday, but I think they were neck and neck for performance throughout the season. They both had great nights and bad nights.

I was psyched to find out George Michael is touring. Thought he was quitting. No one ever quits these days, not even when they're dead!

And I give Carly her props...she wasn't a favorite at all, but she was one of the more exciting singers in the group numbers. Castro took her spot Andrew Lloyd Webber night.  :wall:

We'll see what happens. Hope Cook can compromise...those Idol devils are pretty controlling. His 2006 debut was pretty dang good, and I would love for him to re-record something from there.
