I have a friend who wondered how the whole of Westeros could support so many people.  I guess fish is a mainstay for everyone (except the Wildlings who seem to live off snow and rocks).

It's the sheer numbers in the camp that bothers me, but I can only guess they've set up some sort of trading routes. 
I'd have less problem with it if they'd left it woodsland like in season one.  Then we can pretend there's more animals, or something.
