Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

The video game Halo 4 is being released next week.  To lead-up to the release, they've put out a movie.  It's actually not too bad, I think.  It's a bit slow to start and very much resembles Starship Troopers, at least in armor and military back-story. With the third part it picks up quite a bit.  The F/X are top-notch.  I don't believe any knowledge of the Halo game series is needed, though it's certain to help.  I will say the majority of this is told via flashbacks.  Anything with the cadets is in the past; the man at the beginning and the broken ship is in the present.

Most of the actors have other shows under their belts, including the British gal who looks like the Narnia gal (because that is indeed her).

The first video should play through all five parts, but doesn't skip the ending credits/previews:

LOL  For once I didn't make that mental connection.

Obama has ruined the word "community" for me, though.  I cringe every time I hear the word because it seems he's put the commune back into community.

With the release date of November 6th, maybe some of the brainless tards like the ones from the film crew will stay at home playing Halo instead of voting.

:haha:

I don't think there are any real political messages to this movie.  Some may seem like Bush-era "farmer-insurgents" or anti-military at first, but that all changes in Act III. ;)

I'm just hoping the 20-something slacker Red Bull-drinking Slim Jim-eating Obama Youth crowd that would ordinarily march like lemmings just stay at home and play Halo instead and let the adults work this one out.

As popular as the games are, you may well be right. ;)
