Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Spooky

And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

I really like the CHVRCHES singer's voice. I am not as familiar with their music as I am still stuck in the 70s, 80s and the Rihanna/Maroon 5 duet....Well that calmed down last week but it was going strong for a couple weeks there! Vic recommended "The Greatest Showman" and I am floored by Keala Settle. I liked Bazzi's "Mine" the first time I heard it. I watched Janelle Monae's long form video of Dirty Computer a couple weeks ago and it was pretty trippy. It looks like they spent a fortune on it (Tessa Thompson was in it). It's a weird statement about being female, being black, being love....she plays an android is is forced to lose her memories and get reprogrammed. Of course she ends up not forgetting and escaping. She is an interesting and unapologetic lyricist and conceptual artist. "Pynk" has those vaginal-inspired skirts and I think most of the girls are wearing underwear with sayings on them ("I grab back") and she clearly points the finger at Trump. I like "Make Me Feel," which is kinda just "Hands to Myself" 2.0 (Selena Gomez), but it is so hard to like someone whose work is so austere. It's like, I don't want to like your song but your beats are really cool. Luckily you can change the station and songs play in rotation.

OH! Train is opening up for Hall and Oates this summer and they released a single called "Philly Forget Me Not." I'm a huge fan of both so it was nice to hear the collaboration.
