Has anyone else watched the preview for tonight's episode? This one looks like it is going to be a hoot.
It is up on the Chuck site. I hope like crazy this show gets renewed. It is absolutely the one bright spot of real
humor out there in TV land for me right now.

I feel so bad for Chuck. But the 'will they or won't they' scenario is getting to me. I hate being toyed with! Chuck and Sarah should just drop it and then get angry at each other and then have angry sex. Somebody needs to be laying pipe other than Big Mike.

The only show that handled the whole sexual tension 'will they or won't they' in a decent way was News Radio when Dave and Lisa did it in the second episode. Repeatedly.

You know the thing that bugs me about the pairing is that Yvonne looks so much more mature then Zack
and on the show in the part acts it. He is as cute as can be but he just doesn't play older than her and his
real personality of being a geek in real life and just living to play video games , which is really lame, just
seems to come through in the part.

I was looking at some pictures taken at this past weekends Wondercon and Yvonne was sitting next to
Adam on the podium. They were talking and smiling at each other and looked perfect together and here
is Zack on the other side sitting there with a baseball cap on backwards acting like the little boy he really
is in real life. She looks more appropriate for Adam then she does for Zack even with the big age gap.  :)

I blame his haircut and the company he keeps!

Which is why I liked Standoff. The tension was there, but they were already sleeping together. It took the 'will they or won't they' out of the equation. Now they just had to deal with the relationship.

That doesn't help but I guess this is the way he really is in person. He is such a goodlooking young man
it is a shame to see he hasn't grown up very much. You can see the possibilities when he plays the Chuck
role seriously. He really is a good actor and has a good range. I love it when he is playing the role more
seriously because he looks so much better.

NBC's Silverman says Obama may have hurt momentum for Chuck
Posted on 20 March 2009 by Robert Seidman

THR's James Hibberd has a brief interview with Ben Silverman up.   Mostly it was about Obama on Leno last night, but Hibbered did also ask about whether all the Obama addresses on prime-time are hurting and Kings.

Q: There's been talk of Obama's national address interruptions hurting networks. But then you have times like this where his appearance actually helps a program. What's been the net effect of Obama this season on broadcasters?

Silverman: Barack Obama knows how to market himself better than anybody in the history of marketing. And he's using the media the way we use and advertisers use the media, and its effect is impressive. It's not helping us get any normal rhythm this year. It hurt the fall. I think it hurt "Chuck" — we had the huge 3-D episode, its highest rating in the year, then it was pre-empted the next Monday with no notice. But he's our president, and whatever he needs we are going to do.

Q: Any thoughts on "Kings"? Could something have been done differently, and do you still think it can pull it out?

Silverman: I'm hoping because intent [to view] went up and awareness went up after it aired, clearly people responded to it, and it grew over its two hours. That gives me some hope. It's just hard to launch things that are not obvious. We may get nailed for it, but I'm proud of the show, and we need to keep taking chances like that.  - read the rest at THR.com.

I find it totally ironic that 'he's the President' so he can literally push himself into our homes via our tv (yeah, we have the option to not watch, but those advertisers paid to be broadcast during CHUCK...and they said it was 'no notice')....

....then, they introduce a show where we have a 'King', instead of a President. hehe.

I hope they take that into consideration when they think about renewals and I wish Obama would get
his mug off the television. His press conferences are getting old. He has an office to do his job in and
I bet the dust bunnies are collecting as we speak. He didn't want this job, he just wanted to  win it.

Exactly! I mean, he is aware that the election is over, right? That THIS is not what 'being President' is about? The man has never worked a day in his life, he's just good at reading script and posing for the cameras...why didn't he go into show biz? Guess the potential for 'ruling the world' isn't as likely in Hollywood, huh?

I think what makes me maddest, besides missing my shows, is that those advertisers PAID to run their ads during Chuck, (or whatever else gets preempted)...and they are trying to SELL me stuff...and here is HIS face again, and I just turn the channel to where ever he is not. Now, do I see those ads? The ones that tailored to ME? The fan of the show they PAID space/time for? At least they are trying to 'stimulate the economy' by showing me expensive commercials to get me to buy stuff....all he's doing is making me mad and channel surf.

The networks are eventually going to get fed up because the viewers are going to express how they feel
rather vehemently. Unfortunately Chuck is on NBC and they will probably give up all their programming
before they admit defeat since like Silverman said they will give their President what he needs.  :P  I guess
he will let his shows die to do it.

Last night's episode of Chuck was really good, unfortunately the ratings weren't. Right now this late in the
season it is going to be hard to bring up those numbers. Most people will be reluctant to tune into something
with an ongoing theme this late. Hopefully NBC will continue to give it a chance and they should try and get
this seasons DVD's out there before a next season and promote it like heck so those that haven't found it
can catch up. This show has so much fun stuff going for it with such a wonderful group of actors who are all
easy on the eyes ,( well there's Jeff ) but you know what I mean. Is there another time slot this
would work better in or has NBC blown it with losing their 10 spot?

Lester was awesome last night when 6 came out in the sexy cop uniform. I just love his expressions!

At the end when they went to meet Chuck's dad and they were waiting for him to answer the knock at the door, I was so hoping that Scott B would have opened the door and said "Oh boy!". That would have been awesome!

It was a really  good episode and everyone on this show are perfect for their parts. I hope like heck
they bring this back. Lester is a panic. They have a wonderful group of comedy relief.

Was it just me noticing or did 6 look a little more amply endowed on Chuck then she did on BSG? I'm
sure you guys could tell me.

The sad thing is I can't even think of the song "Tom Sawyer" without picturing Jeff in my head. *shudder*

I'm with you on Obama and can't fathom why more folks don't wonder why our president feels the need to literally be in our faces.  Heck, I'd rather be sitting on the couch looking at JEFF!

What I want to know...  Are the networks having to give away all those primetime hours (not likely)?  If they are being paid, *who* is paying and where is the money coming from?

ever they talk about it they are disgruntled.

I keep thinking about that old Twilight Zone ep "Eye of the Beholder" where the 'leader' does these speeches from monitors all over the place...all about conformity and everyone being alike. Like, you know, one world government, fun stuff like that...control the airwaves. Science Fiction, right?

Doesn't look like science fiction anymore. I find it amusing that he plasters himself all over
the airwaves here every chance he gets and they screw up overseas at the G 20 and forgot
about the time difference and have nothing to show us from this morning. And please tell me

Has anyone else ever been over to Chuck forum at NBC? The moderator over there is Attila the Hun.
He doesn't allow you to speak and lord help you if you dare to comment on other shows or talk about
something in the wrong thread. I haven't joined there just read and some of those guys are really landed
on for nothing.

Bones board isn't much better. They really keep it from veering off course. Very very programmed. Good
thing I never decided to post in those, I probably would be kicked off immediately. I did post once in Bones
and really felt out of place. A whole different type of group in those forums. I hate the set up of some of them
they are not conducive to getting to know your fellow members. NCIS also has a horrible set up. At least Fox
always had the best type although they seem to have gone away from it with Terminator and Dollhouse but
it appears they have tightened up on how you can post. The Prospero boards I guess left too much leeway
to get out of hand. I bet the Firefly board was a real hot potato for them.

I tried posting in the Chuck forum, and yeah, no interaction...no feel of community there. We had something so special, I don't think most folks realize just how so.

We used to have that on the old X-file board too...*sigh* I sure miss those days. That's another thing that got me so 'into' FF...found the same feeling of family as my old phile days.
