Will be the 4th time I have purchased the set. (Granted, I got reimbursed for one of them.) Now all I need is a Blu-Ray player....and an HD TV....and surround sound....
Is there much new on it? I'm tired of all the rereleases. If we aren't getting anything new I'm kind of done.
Pearl told me there's supposed to be a new commentary (track?).
Supposedly Blu-Ray players are coming down in price by 50%. Hmm...

Joss gives you what you need, not what you want. If Joss doesn't think you need much new, you won't get it but you will like it. Buy several, you greedy rich Republican and spread the wealth. :haha:

Yes, they are. I saw several the other day for just a little over $200.

When I can pick up the Blu-Ray player and the new box set for less than a hundred bucks, maybe. Until then, there are all these nifty new MKV files to stream.

Boy, that's the truth. They just dole this stuff out in dribbles. I think Joss has his own problems right now from reading
his posts on Wheadonesque. Sounds like the same ole same ole with the network honchos but since it is the same just
like Firefly and Wonder Woman I'm thinking Joss is more the problem then they are. Just from reading his posts which
are cryptic as heck I get the feeling he is somewhat of a wise guy and sort of childish in getting along with the PTB. He
may have a brilliant creative mind but I get the feeling he is hard for them to channel and he has a tendency to repeat
the same type of theme over and over unless they land on him. Hence the constant rewrites.
The new stuff is in bold.
Maybe part of the reason Joss hasn't gotten very far in recent years is because he doesn't want to compromise?
It pisses me off to no end that Battlestar Galactica got rebooted with Firefly zooms. I know he shopped Firefly around, schpieled, probably even begged. Timing is everything. I don't know what it is about him, and "no offense, but bad luck really seems to be following you around."
Joss should probably go DVD and/or Internet only. If he needed to, he could probably raise a pretty decent amount of capital from pre-sales alone.
I guess it depends upon just how much $$$ would be needed, though ...

Danke.
So $200-$300 for the player and another $50-7$5 for one additional commentary and a reunion vid?
I think I'll make a car payment instead.
I'm not rushing out to buy it myself, as we don't have a player, but I am making a note of it.
There are some movies you just need on high def. (OK, *I* need.)
Anything with awesome graphics.
300, Blade Runner, The Dark Knight, Iron Man...
I know, I'll probably get it since I loved watching it in HD when Universal showed it in that format. It really does
look pretty in high def. The blue ray players aren't too bad right now and I guess I'm at the "you can't take it with
you stage of life".
Tink: I think the Xbox will suffice? >:D

Diggin' the 360. It may take a minute or two to buffer stuff like H264 files, but the HD WMV files stream with no problem. You can find Blu-Ray rips that looks every bit as good as the HD-DVDs I got rooked into buying last year.
The games are pretty sweet too. Really liking being able to download demos and stuff. I can play enough to see if it is worth buying, for the most part. The NXE dashboard looks pretty nice as well. It is due out in about three weeks.
