I had no idea what you guys were talking about last week. HOLY CRAP at last night (and HOLY CRAP at what you said, Digby)!

I read a synopsis online (and totally gasped at the demise) but I watched the scene online — incredible makeup job — DAYUM.

I immediately thought, "Cersei, you deserve all of this" — but you're saying that the payback is going to be a major bitch and then some.

Some pretty heady, philosophical stuff about reasons why people may want to become celebrities (to stand out from the masses) or adore celebs (evolutionary mechanism to learn about proper living from someone with "prestige"?). 

The Q&A video is pretty Game of Thrones-centric (which I found a bit weird after a half-hour speech on celeb culture).  Interestingly, he says fans have been very respectful; which is not what I was expecting given that some humans are just crazy.  Also, that Tyrion slap was real.
