Especially when you think that actors have been killed on set by blanks let alone bullets .

We were watching this very Preacher episode and Pearl saw the brief shot of the store rules sign.  #1 was that all guns were loaded.  I explained to her that was the first thing you learn with gun safety -- to treat them as if they all are loaded.

When I was in Honduras we were training some of the Hondurans Army how to use the M16's they just bought from the US and the first thing the instructor told these guys was that he took safety very seriously and would not tolerate any safety violations and it didn't matter if the gun weapon was loaded or not.

Well, one of the Hondurans ended up casually waving his unloaded M16 around and the instructor walked up to him and gave him a serious butt stock to the helmet. Knocked him out for a sec and he woke up to all his buddies laughing at him. There were no more safety violations.
