Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

He is properly chastised in the comments, and seems to take it well.

Oh yeah , I just found it funny that he wrote a series review based on one episode of something he was really unfamiliar with .

The random "history" ( Magna Carta ! ) lessons just made it more surreal ...

:D

It's nice here with a view of the trees
Eating with a spoon?
They don't give you knives?
'Spect you watch those trees
Blowing in the breeze

I have to admit I was completely lost the first few episodes. Still am to an extent. But I've looked at the Wiki for the backstory (which helps tremendously) and all. Also, the multiple appendices in the back of the book helps out. Good stuff.

I always hate when I read reviews like that or the ones were people give the product a bad review because the shipping was delayed, their item was delivered broken, or when they go into a political rant about a book (they haven't read) because they don't like the author.

I can totally understand being lost at times .
I sometimes get lost reading the books .

I'm glad it wasn't dumbed down though .

Agreed .

But I suppose all reviews have a certain bias at work .....

Without a doubt. All I ask is that the reviewer have read the whole book or watched the whole movie/tv show before reviewing it. I have no problem with bad reviews if they are from someone who obviously knows the material and can explain why they didn't like it without ranting and being obviously oblivious to the content.
