Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Gack!!!!!

A lot of very mediocre performances so far IMO.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

I never did enjoy AI, with the exception of William Hurt. He's good in anything.

That reminds me of another William H. and a different AI:
William Hung- She Bangs

Oh, it has not been good, I agree totally.

I could whittle down the contestants to 12 now, in no particular order:
Aaron Kelly
Casey James
Andrew Garcia (didn't have the greatest night last night, but his acoustic rendition of Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" is one of the best I've ever heard)
Joe Muñoz
Michael Lynche
Lee Dewyze

Paige Miles
Didi Benami
Crystal Bowersox
Katie Stevens
Haeley Vaughn
Lilly Scott

These are my faves:
Aaron Kelly
Michael Lynche
Andrew Garcia
Paige Miles
Didi Benami
Crystal Bowersox

^ this list... I agree with it.

Poor little Katie looked like she would have died had she been booted off.

Didi looked like she was surprised she was safe. (I am happy she was - got a wee bit of a crush on her  ;) )

Tim knew it was him (so did I) and then!?! WTF?  ??? Sorry Joe!

Glad it was Alex staying over Tyler. Something about that guy put me off.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Oh, if it's not already on one of the lefty sites already. Muñoz and Rodriguez America? What have you got against the Latin brothers and sisters? AI voters are racist!!!!

When Tyler was singing, Eric was like, the 70's guy got kicked off? And I went, thank GOD.   Go be in a Zeppelin tribute band.

Tim was SHOCKED he was still there. Joe was definitely the better singer there but those were the votes. Poor Tim just looks like a deer in headlights when he's singing. I don't see him going very far just cause of that factor. Joe would have probably gone to the Top 12 if he could have. That sucks.

I don't understand what Simon sees in the scraggly-voiced guy (Lee Dewyze) but I'm willing to hear him for another week.

I think Ellen is fitting in all right though. Sad to see Paula not there, but them's the breaks. Kara has grown on me, simply because of the work she's done with David A. Stewart (Eurythmics), in a collaboration called Platinum Weird. They wrote "Taking Chances." I am trying to distance her away from Julia Roberts, whom she reminds of and can't stand anymore.

I like Ellen. Her sense of humor is refreshing, but not a spontaneous and accidental as Paula's was. Kara... I would probably fall all over myself around her like she does with Casey and Shania did with John Park. I Got's a pretty big crush on her. Love those dark brown eyes.

On a side note, a female friend at work was Googling Casey James (she has the major hots for him) and, well, apparently there is a female porn star with that name. Make sure you have safe search *on* when doing the Googles.
