Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

There is a reason Hollywood week is called "Hell Week." It is learning songs overnight (if you don't already know them) and working with a group ON A REAL STAGE. Even Jennifer Hudson forgot the words during Hollywood week.

There are quite a few contestants who are definitely going home. If Bikini Girl makes it through, I'll be a monkey's uncle aunt. My co-worker is dumbfounded why contestants still use all the stupid gimmicks and costumes. It's Season 8 and everybody should know what it takes to get you to Hollywood. Just stand there and sing!

They have a talented bunch already, and they haven't even finished showing us all the cities yet.

I'm thankful for less drama though. I'm sick of seeing people being pissed off because THEY can't figure out they can't sing.

The guy with the two cheer leaders might have had a chance if he hadn't had what appeared to be (in the words of my girls) his 'fag hags' with him. Sorry, but the presentation was so over the top, and his voice wasn't that bad.

Oh well.

Hopefully they will try to screen out the crazies...one gal killing herself over Paula Abdul is enough. *course they did let the 'fan' of the new gal through already. *shudder*

When she gets to Hollywood, she's gonna have her bikini-clad butt handed to her on a platter. At least she appears to have a future in porn.

What kind of parents allowed her to (as the girls say) 'tute herself like that?

Well, she is twenty years old ...

Exactly. But good parenting is supposed to last into adulthood. By the time she is she 20, she should still be young enough to remember all her parents taught her, and be smart enough to know what her actions say about her.

My point stands.

Of course, these are my values I'm applying here, other's have the right to see it otherwise.

Eric

I was just stating that it was highly unlikely that her parents could allow or not allow their twenty-year-old to sing in her bikini on TV.

And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

Last night seemed very rushed and confusing and the fact that they let that one totally wacked out crazy girl through scares the heck outta me!

They usually don't even let us see (through clever editing) the really GOOD singers till later anyway. We'll see. I liked the one young windower, although I don't like how he seems somehow fake when he talks about it. I'm sorry if it's true, but I almost get a 'Johnny Fairplay' vibe off him.

I'm sorry some of the good ones with good stories didn't get through, but you could still see the spirit was still in 'em.

They are still keeping some nuts to make for good 'entertainment', which is alway a shame, since they get rid of good singers for them.

I was/am surrised that the Osmond and the Castro boys did not go through.

That almost makes me not want to watch it. Tatiana is a piece of work.

I like Lil Rounds (the mom with three kids), Danny Gorky (the soulful guy who lost his wife) and Michael Sarver (oil rig guy). There are others I was impressed with, but I can't put faces with performances yet. I liked Donyelle (?) the girl that was/grew up (?) homeless.

Poor David Cook looks like Big Boy with the pointed hair. Just don't look right.

End the hyphens...we are all human beings who live in America.
