That chick made our local news, but so did the Fox 45 "Baltimore Idol" (who won in a local contest). She auditioned in Pgh. A blond chick.

I'm not watching this year. I'm done. I think The X Factor wore me out.

Big Bang Theory did beat it in ratings Thursday night, so there is hope for America.

After weeks of near-topples and ties, CBS' The Big Bang Theory overtook Fox's Idol on Thursday. And when it finally happened, the margin wasn't small in the adult demo: Big Bang had 16.1 million viewers and a 5.2 rating in the adult demo, while Idol had 15.4 million and a 4.4 rating. Idol fell 14 percent from last week to a new low (clearly the strategy of draaaagging out revealing the Top 24 contestants didn't work out).

Television's most-watched scripted series, NCIS, this Tuesday night outdrew reality juggernaut American Idol in total viewers for the first time ever, 18 million to 15.6 million in their shared 8 o'clock hour. And mind you, the giants used to square off plenty back when Idol ran on a Tuesday/Wednesday schedule.
