I have a hard time deleting Castle until I have the DVDs. So I plan on having my own marathon and at the very least watching the last few eps.

I was duped, didn't see the whodunnit. The story around the whole Lanie-Esposito [spoiler]fallout didn't make sense to me, prolly cause it wasn't fleshed out very well. But they're not main characters. [/spoiler]
Next week's is gonna be a doozy. While I'm hoping for a Castle-Beckett relationship, I'm not completely liking reusing the "you almost died and I can't hide my feelings anymore" scenario. I hope that's not what it turns out to be. I haven't really given it much thought as to how they will hook up., but I don't think it's time for me to read fanfic just yet.

I was recently invited by the Screen Actors Guild to moderate a panel with Castle beauty Stana Katic, who let slip that the ABC show is planning a film-noir episode. Exec producer Andrew Marlowe confirms a February sweeps installment will find Castle and Beckett imagining themselves in the 1940s, with Nathan Fillion suited up as a Sam Spade—type PI and Stana as a gangster's moll.
Then in the spring, Castle and Beckett will trip the light fantastic in a Dancing With the Stars-themed episode timed to that show's return. But don't look for Tom Bergeron to make a cameo. Says Andrew: "Unfortunately, we already killed Tom in 2010 [when he played] a talk-show host."

I made the mistake on the OB of commenting on how beefed up Nathan has gotten in this show. He is really getting
chunky and you would have thought I had committed a major crime. Maybe in real life it is not nice to
comment on someone's weight gain which it IS rude but Nathan is a celebrity who makes his living off of his
physical looks and his leading man status. This is part of his tools in trade so to speak and he seems to be

I'm beginning to wonder if he may have a drinking problem. He likes to play video games I know which kinda
rules out a lot of exercise and alcohol would definitely cause the puffiness and early aging we are seeing. Yes,
next to Stana he does look bigger too. She on the other hand looks like she has lost weight since the show
started.

The only good thing about the other night's episode was the wedding part at the end. I will be glad to see some more tension between Castle and Beckett next week, cause while they are rumors of a "kiss" in the noir episode, I am getting antsy.
For the noir episode, Castle should really have a pencil-thin mustache, the Boston Blackie kind. A two-tone Ricky Ricardo jacket and an autographed picture of Andy Devine.

I'm sorry to have caused a mini-controversy! It wasn't anything bad; it's just a "skit" he likes to do. I'm sure Rosie and Saxon can attest to his mis-pronouncing his name in Q&A sessions just as a joke. He said, "Na-Than Fill-Lion." On a D*C 2004 panel Nathan mispronounced every FF/Serenity cast member's name and it was a hoot. I'd have to find my notes (back when I TOOK notes at a con).
It was just Nathan being Nathan ~ being funny or "stoopid" funny as I like to call it. Makes me roll my eyes and curse. But in a good way!

He may act like a jackass sometimes but he has always been mature in the sense of being sincere and grateful. You could see that from the interview on the FF DVD about Malcolm Reynolds being "the BEST job I've ever had." His parents raised him right.

These shades of red are very hard to get unless they are done professionally. They used to be called
strawberry blonds once upon a time. They are very beautiful and if you have complexions like Molly
with lovely blue eyes, that hair color can make you drop dead gorgeous. Green eyes even more striking. :)

I'm hoping that since Adam Baldwin has broken the logjam of Firefly reunions, Morena will be the next to appear. She can be Beckett's college roommate, the one she went through that 'phase' with for a while.
Becket and the new captain are then tragically killed in a sniper attack. Morena stays on as Castle's new love interest and vows to track down Beckett's killer. The new new captain is the old new captain's father, played by Ron Glass.
With two police killed, the new mayor (played by Alan Tudyk) assigns Ethan Slaughter to the squad as extra muscle. Sean Maher plays Det. Ryan's love interest, now that Ryan is out of the closet.
No Summer Glau, we don't want this canceled.

I don't often watch Castle but did last night ("47 Seconds"). It's the next morning, but I still have that "WTF did I just watch?" feeling.
The writers can only drag out the 'will they/won't they' schtick so long. Castle's got his boxers in a bunch because he told Beckett he wuvs her when she got shot and she knows and didn't tell him she knows so Castle's acting all emo-bitch and withholding affection because that's just how very adult he is.
Cheese and rice, Alexis is more mature than he is.
I don't mind his mom talking to him about it ~ after seeing next week's preview and sleeping on it, I DO mind Beckett and Lanie talking about it. Stana says that the Caskett fans will be happy, but I'm not happy about the pussyfooting. Yeah, I'd much rather have preferred an adult conversation to have taken place. But Castle feels betrayed and made to look stupid that Beckett's been keeping this information to herself all this time. Why he can't go out for a drink or dinner or invite her over for dinner or even go to her place and ask her to riddle him this, I don't know.

Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic and the rest of the Castle crew are floating five spoilers your way, and one of them has to do with a certain fan-favorite couple...
1. Just Kiss Already! After nearly four full seasons, Caskett fans can stop crossing those fingers and toes because we've learned that things are finally going to progress! When we asked why it has taken so long, Fillion was very quick to defend their slow-moving flirtations, saying, "Our writers have been very talented and very deft about dealing with the ebb and flow of a relationship with two people who don't meet eye-to-eye." He continues, "We've been dealing with a lot of ebb lately, especially towards the end of the season, we're going to get a lot of ebb, but right at the end we're going to get some flow." Hooray for flow! Stana Katic also confirmed it, "Oh yeah, the end of this season you guys are going to be happy." She repeated with a coy laugh, "Any Caskett fans out there: You will be happy!" Squee!
2. Who's Your Daddy?: In the jam-packed two-parter "Pandora/Linchpin", fans were shocked when psycho Sophia (Jennifer Beale) revealed that Castle's father was involved in the CIA. Showrunner Andrew Marlowe assures us that the Daddy dilemma will be touched upon, but it might take a while to get an answer. "I think it's a little mystifying for Castle because he doesn't know if he can trust what Sophia said, and if your father is in the CIA, how do you find out? But it is something that we're going to be exploring as we move forward in the series." Start throwing out your dream-castings!
3. Firefly Fandemonium: By now, you should already be well aware that Adam Baldwin is coming to reunite with his fellow Firefly castmate Nathan Fillion! And if you didn't well then, it's not like we're judging you or anything. (We totally are.) Fillion assured us that Firefly fanatics will be more than pleased: "I'm reading the script right now and I've already seen two Firefly references!" Baldwin will be playing Ethan Slaughter, a no-nonsense detective from the city's gang unit whom Castle is very eager to follow on a case and Fillion revealed that Slaughter is a very "Jayne character" on the show.
4. Más "Esplanie" Por Favor: Tamala Jones teases this on what's ahead for Lanie's love life: "I've been hearing little whispers on set. The writers are exploring the dynamic between Esposito (Jon Huertas) and Lanie; even though [they've] broken up, there's still something lingering." The kinda-sorta couple will be addressing the issues they had the first time around. "I think Lanie's problem is opening up completely, whereas Esposito is so open." We are rooting for this couple simply for the fact that their shipper name "Esplanie" is so much fun to say.
5. Galmance: Jones also was excited to share that for the first time Kate and Lanie are going to be seen outside of the precinct together for some bestie bonding. "We get some girl time and it's really nice. It's what you and I would be if we were girlfriends, the way we would talk, the realness, the passion, I hope you guys love it." Can we expect some Caskett gossip? "Oh for sure! And Lanie is not holding back on that subject. She is so pro [Caskett], but she's like, 'Get on it sister! It's been so long!"
Preach.
Castle is all-new tonight at 10 p.m. on ABC!

Eric and I discussed this last night and he mentioned Moonlighting. I'm of the opinion that you can break the "when couples get together, the show ends" meme. (if I am using "meme" correctly?) Why not write an effective couple on TV? That's what I liked about Standoff (cop show Gina used to be on) where the partners were already secretly together and still making their working partnership work.
I don't watch Bones but it was clear that the writers had planned to put Bones and Booth together at some point. Even though I find their whole relationship history weird, I know Bones and Booth had their misses and now it's like ON, especially with the baby on the way.
I'd cite House but the writers and Lisa Edelstein (maybe not by choice) screwed that up. I probably forgot the #3 cardinal rule in the Book of House that "House can never be happy." Personally, I think they missed the boat on that one. I would have liked to see him finally grow up but I guess we have to perpetuate the stereotype that no one ever really grows up or stops being a jerk. Are they trying to say that a person can't change? How does THAT even remotely give any credence to the "Hope and Change" they [TV Writers, Hollyweird et al.] swallowed whole 4 years ago? I know, its: "We don't have to change: YOU DO."
Oh yeah.........also in the previews there's Castle gallivanting around town and the precinct with a chick (who looks like his ex but probably isn't). Yeah, not liking the stereotypical schtick. Such a letdown. I bet there is a fanfic that is better than what we've been seeing. :deadhorse:

It's so frustrating. I think the writers missed the ball on being adult and taking chances. OOTH, one gets tired of B.S. and waiting and waiting is B.S.
What's even more frustrating is that "Headhunters" (if that's the name of the next episode, Wiki) won't air for 2 weeks.
The only thing that made tonight worthwhile was Lanie, the distraction of the case, Stana's entrance in the dress and the preview with Adam. ("You're a grown man.") :haha:
If I didn't love this show so much, I would have given up on this show weeks ago. At least there are fans out there that are losing faith.
As for Kate and Rick, they need to take the conversation off precinct. It doesn't feel right for it to be there. A jail cell might work though. /shippin' and fan-fickin'
OK, a) Which cast or crew member is just trying to get on Talking Dead, and b) — SPOOKY can attest — there's better makeup on the zombie walks.

Just watched Adam's role on Castle. Needless to say where I am I'm having a hard
time catching up on my shows.
Really got a kick out of this episode. Adam was going to revive Jayne one way or
another and it looks like he did with his semi modern version. I say semi because
Slaughter was right out of the Wild West with very little softening. He looked good
and was vintage Adam. Fun episode. :)

OK, that was an intense episode. Andrew Marlowe teased that the ending will have repercussions for everyone in the precinct.
I feel so bad for Ryan. He was only trying to do the right thing. It was pretty rogue what Beckett and Esposito did.

Now that Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) have finally done the deed, where will we find the two characters when "Castle" resumes for Season 5 in the fall? Creator Andrew Marlowe tells Zap2it that there won't be any major time jumps, and the show will pick up soon after Castle and Beckett went to bed together.
"I haven't quite nailed it down, but I do think everybody is going to want to see what the aftermath looks like," Marlowe says. "They are going to want to see what it looks like when they wake up in the morning. And I think that's a promise that we have to honor."
Season 4 got a little dark and stressful with Castle and Beckett too wrapped up in secrets to have as much of their usual banter, but Marlowe promises Season 5 will have that trademark "Castle" playfulness.
"[Season 4] we feel has been very creatively successful, but it's also been a little angsty for our characters. [We're excited] to be able to get on the other side of that angst and to open that up into a little bit more of the fun that we had in [Seasons] 1 through 3," he says. "We're looking forward to getting to that and dealing with the two characters in a relationship, what that relationship is going to look like and the challenges that they're going to have."
Things won't go smoothly just because the characters finally gave into their feelings for each other. "Castle's not going to stop being Castle once they're in a relationship, and Beckett is not going to stop being Beckett. Out of a relationship or in a relationship, they're still going to drive each other crazy. There's still a lot of fun to be had."
