Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down... tells you she's hurting before she keels. Makes her a home.  -Mal

Eating with a spoon?
They don't give you knives?
'Spect you watch those trees
Blowing in the breeze

 I am reading...

"Letters to a Young Conservative," by Dinesh D'Souza
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

I am reading "The Coming of the Horseclans" ( the pulp series from #1 and on ) , "The Odessa File" ,  "Royal Flash" ( of the Flashman chronicles ) and "Band of Brothers" .

And a Conan title of which name eludes me .

Stupid too many books on the go ........

Reading The Walking Dead comics. Whoa! Scary, sad, riveting, intense... I hope the TV show doesn't go a completely different direction.
And I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling.

I can do without some of the comic plots .
It just goes to some painfully grim places .

Reading The Walking Dead is a damaging my calm. 34 books in and every time I think something good is going to happen, they kick me in the nuts with another horrifying twist. I. Can't. Stop. Reading!

I intend to start reading that once my Christmas present arrives. Until then, I'm listening to Bill Carter's book on the behind the scenes stuff between Leno and Conan. Good stuff.
"Is this how time normally passes? Really slowly, in the right order?"

It's very economical with the good moments .

Then again - APOCALYPSE .

Tru dat.

I am zipping right through them. Just started #61

The TV show such is a different animal and there is no way they could survive on TV had they followed the books and I am glad. It's like Dexter. I get to follow the story in two universes. Wish I could live my life in two universes sometimes.
